Driver Flees Scene After Fatally Striking Motorcyclists

The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) has apprehended the driver of an SUV involved in a tragic hit-and-run crash on Beach Boulevard on Thursday. The suspect, operating a Chevy Tahoe, fled the incident, leaving two motorcyclists severely injured.
According to FHP, the Tahoe struck the motorcyclists while traveling on Beach Boulevard. One motorcyclist succumbed to their injuries at the scene, while the other was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition.
Through intensive investigation, FHP officers were able to locate and arrest the driver responsible for the hit-and-run. The suspect faces charges including vehicular homicide, leaving the scene of an accident involving serious bodily injury, and driving with a suspended license.
The identity of the driver and the names of the victims have not been released as of this writing. The investigation remains ongoing, and FHP urges anyone with information about the incident to contact authorities.
